Gemini Replaces Google Assistant on Android

Google has begun widely rolling out Gemini as the replacement for Google Assistant on Android phones, tablets and paired devices including Wear OS, headphones and Android Auto. The Gemini app removed the Switch to Google Assistant setting, so users in the US and Europe can no longer revert. Nest and Home smart speakers and displays keep Assistant for now.
