ShieldBreak zero-day grants SYSTEM on patched Windows

Hacker Nightmare Eclipse published ShieldBreak, a Windows zero-day privilege escalation vulnerability granting SYSTEM-level privileges from regular-user code. Defender already detects the exploit, which may be patched as of last Tuesday. ShieldBreak continues the previously reported RoguePlanet vulnerability in Windows Defender's subsystems.
