UPI MDR Fees Begin October 15

Starting October 15, a 0.4% Merchant Discount Rate applies to UPI Person-to-Merchant transactions exceeding Rs 2,000. This regulatory change affects roughly 609 million transactions and follows Parliament's amendment of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act in August.
