Nintendo of America won a $4.5 million default judgment against James Williams, who allegedly moderated r/SwitchPirates and sold pirated Switch games. Sued in June 2024, Williams never responded, so the court granted the judgment in October 2025. He must pay damages and shut down all pirate shops he controls.
